Welcome to the first edition of the WC Monthly newsletter! Each month we plan to bring important church news, upcoming events and more to this platform! Find out what’s been happening, and what’s coming up next!

Colleen Sharon Milholland, 79, of Pinehurst, ID, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 14, 2024.

Patricia Gail Ray, 70, of Smelterville, ID, passed away on June 30, 2024 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, ID.

The KOZ Golf Scramble Scheduled for July 27th has been canceled.

KOZ is looking for men who are willing to help teach fatherless boys in our area how to become godly men by working with and teaching them life skills. If you are interested in serving in this ministry, or if you know of a boy who could benefit from a group like this, you can learn more about KOZ here and reach out to the Group leader, Jerry Mitchell.

 

The Worship Center will be coordinating with our missionary to Kenya, Michael Bushebi, to set a date for a mission trip in 2025. This trip will focus on ministering to the people of Kenya and aiding in the church’s efforts to build life-saving infrastructure alongside Gospel Believers Fellowship.

If you are interested in joining us on this missions trip, please contact Pastor Corey. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic about spreading the Gospel and helping others!

If you would like to Join our Missions Prayer Group, they meet every 2nd Monday of the month at 6pm in the Activities Center. You can join the group by clicking here.

Light The Way Food Bank serves dozens of local families each week. We hand out produce and other food items to those in need. If you are interested in serving in this ministry, please visit the Connect Center on Sunday, or contact the church office during the week!

The LTW team is currently in need of more helpers at the following times:

  • Tuesday Mornings - Packing boxes, Sorting Food

  • Tuesday Evenings - Handing out boxes of food to families in a drive-through system

  • Wednesdays at 12:30 pm - Loading and unloading food donations from Walmart in Smelterville to the church

 

NEW SERIES: 'STEPPING UP' Began July 16th - 6pm

The world needs godly men. Men who will step up and courageously lead at home, the Church, workplaces, and communities. That’s the message of Stepping Up. In a world where too many men are shrinking back, Stepping Up gives men vision and tools to live godly, courageous lives... Join us for this 10-week Study! If you've never been to Men's Group this is the perfect time to join! Once you join the group using the link below, you will be able to access the 'resources' tab which has links to the class material for purchase!

NEW EVENT: WC ROUGH RIDERS - July 27th, August 24th

Join us for single and double-track ATV trips! If you want to come but don’t have an ATV, show up and we will have someone you can ride with! Lunch will be provided. We are asking everyone who can to help by pitching in $10 to cover lunches and gas for those bringing in people who don’t have ATVs. If you can’t afford it, don’t worry, we still want you to come! We had our first ride on July 13th and it was a blast!
